II. Impact’s Slogan, Vision & Mission
Slogan: Impacted by Christ to Impact the World
Vision: Creating an Authentic Community of Compassionate Disciples
Mission: Our Mission is to Glorify God by engaging Jesus and embracing His transformation of Impact Christian Church into a body  of Biblical Disciples…

III. 3 Keys to Our Mission:
– Authentic Community, we are real people growing in the Word
– Lifestyle Worship, our love of God is every dAY of the week
– Unleashed Compassion, we don’t stop reaching and serving

III. Three Words that describe the church:
  A. Followers, living for Jesus everyday…getting to know Him.
May God, who gives this patience and encouragement, help you live in complete harmony with each other, as is fitting for followers of Christ Jesus. Romans 15:5

B. Fellowship, real people learning the Word together
You were cleansed from your sins when you obeyed the truth, so now you must show sincere love to each other as brothers and sisters. Love each other deeply with all your heart. 1 Peter 1:22
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. 1 John 1:7

C. Family, loving and caring for those at Impact and constantly reaching out to include more people in the family.
All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer. Acts 2:42-47

IV. Simplifying Slogan, Vision & Mission

A. Get to Know God
“And this is the way to have eternal life—to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth.” John 17:3

  1. Come  to Him Honestly. “Behold, you delight in truth in the inward being” Psalm 51:6
2. Understand our Reliance upon Him. “Trust in the Lord forever” Isaiah 26:4
3. Be interested in what interests Him. “And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” Micah 6:8
4. Observe His Creation . For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities–his eternal power and divine nature–have been clearly seen…” Romans 1:20
5. Accept His invitation to Follow. Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me…” Mark 1:17
6. Spend time with Him. “Remain in me, and I will remain in you.” John 15:4

Our knowledge of the Father grows as we increasingly recognize His love for us.

“But when the Pharisees heard that he had silenced the Sadducees with his reply, they met together to question him again. One of them, an expert in religious law, tried to trap him with this question: ‘Teacher, which is the most important commandment in the law of Moses?’ Jesus replied, ‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’” Matthew 22:34-37

B. Learn the Bible
“Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.” Psalm 119:105

1. Take advantage of what Impact has to offer you.
– Make Sunday morning Worship a Priority .
– Join a Small Group
– Get into the Men’s, Women’s, Youth or 101-401 classes.

2. Buy a Bible that you Really Like.
– Make it NLT or NIV. Font, notes, color…that you like.  You will read it more if you do.
– You Need your Own Personal Bible

“We must know His Word. By reading the Bible, you open your heart to Him. He has given you the Holy Spirit to help you understand His Word, and He wants you to meditate on it so you can apply it to your life.” Pastor Charles Stanley

C. Connect with People
“God himself has taught you to love one another. Indeed, you already show your love for all the believers throughout Macedonia. Even so, dear brothers and sisters, we urge you to love them even more.” 1 Thessalonians 4:9-10

“And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation.” Ephesians 1:13

1. Take time to Engage with People
– Hang Out After Church
– Invite People Over – Make the most of Ever Opportunity

“And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.” Hebrews 10:25
2. Don’t Make Lousy Excuses for Fellowship
– Give value and priority to Being with People
– You were Made for Community
– We all need to be a Part of Something
“So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:11
