SIMPLEXITY, Week 1, Do What Matters: Matthew 6:25-33

DO WHAT MATTERS, Week 1 (from Matthew 6:25-34)SIMPLEXITY LOGO

If Jesus had time for…

…then we have time!

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness…

I. TO SIMPLIFY OUR LIVES, WE MUST ARRANGE EACH DAY AROUND THE PRIORITIES THAT MATTER MOST:

1. DEMONSTRATIVE

Seek First His Kingdom…  (the kingdom is about Love)

So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. John 13:34

Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children. Live a life filled with love… Ephesians 5:1-2a

What will last in your life forever: new car, season tickets, new tv,  new

computer, lake house, vacations?  A: P erson

Family:  We need more time to love our spouses. Savor your children.  Show them love.

Friends:  They need you to D emonstrate                         your love to them.

Foes:  What about those ones we don’t know or maybe don’t like? We need to love them too.

Your love for one another will prove to the world that  you are my disciples.

John 13:35

Q: Do you have enough time to show demonstrative love?  Y or N

2. SPIRITUAL

And His Righteousness… (becoming like Jesus)

Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into a full experience of salvation. Cry out for this nourishment, now that you have had a taste of the Lord’s kindness. 1 Peter 2:2-3

Rather, you must grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. All glory to him, both now and forever! Amen. 2 Peter 3:18

Transformation has to be a S tandard                        .

We need to realize we are S inners                            .

No matter what, we need to keep S eking               .

…if you are not seeking to be life Jesus in your life, you are too busy!!!!

Q:  Are you committed to spiritual transformation?  Y or N   (circle one)

KINGDOM

And His Righteousness… (having a heart to Serve)

God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another. 1 Peter 4:10

Work with enthusiasm, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Ephesians 6:7

We are given special Gifts                to serve people.

Find your spiritual Gifts              and use it to serve people.

God has called us to serve, live in your Calling               for life!

Q:  Will you take up your spiritual calling and serve others?  Y or N

II. TO SIMPLIFY OUR LIVES, WE MUST HAVE FAITH TO DO WHAT MATTERS MOST, AND TRUST GOD WITH THE REST.

Abundant life starts with SIMPLEXITY in life…

Letting some things go…

Trusting God with the rest…

Enjoying the Life He has given you…

…and all these things will be given       to you.  Matthew 6:33
